A lone monarch here in TN. Living in Texas the first 40 years of my life, even though it wasn't uncommon, it was ALWAYS exciting. Back in 1995 millions roosted in the trees overnight on my property in Brownwood TX. When I came home from work they were all gone. If I could have I would have played hookie that day but being a nurse i had to leave that awe inspiring sight. This is my first sighting in 11 years since living in TN. I wish my husband shared my excitement.
