It was very interesting to read another posting from Austin on 10/31. Yesterday, I, too, saw monarchs flying directionally southwest in the morning following the heavy storms of the day and night previous. I saw 4 pass over our house in central Austin within about an hour, and soon after, saw one in another part of town fly over the city bus I was riding. It was inspiring to see these insects carrying on their long journey after somehow finding shelter from strong winds and rain.
