5 again. 4 Kings and 1 Queen. That makes 16 of my original 21 chrysalis's are born. Though a said day in the same. It looks like one King has been born with a genetic defect to its legs. Though you can see all the spikes for gripping on its legs it was never able to grab to its chrysalis. And usually if they fall they can grip my finger or a stick and I can get them back going before any wing damage. So this one is alive and eating and is now a pet. A second King looks perfect but I believe one wing or shoulder(?) is drooping 3mm and it doesn't make enough lift to take off. If he doesn't show massive improvement in a few days we will keep him too. I guess as humans if we want to play with nature we must also be its keeper and keep the genetic line clear of impurities.
