Sightings report image

Date: 11/02/2015

Number: 1

The first of our true migrants (and winter residents) have arrived: In summer, Golden-crowned Sparrows nest in coastal mountains from British Columbia north through Alaska. They winter in the valleys, forests, and gardens of the U.S. west coast. For the last several years several have wintered right here, in my garden, hanging out with Dark-eyed Juncos, Song Sparrows, Spotted Towhees, and White-crowned Sparrows.
