We planted 13 Red Emperor Tulips on Thursday, October 29th in the Wendler Middle School courtyard garden. The temperature was 40 degrees F and it was cloudy. There was no snow on the ground and the soil was still soft and easy to dig. The next day, on Friday, it snowed about 2 inches and it has been cold and snowy since, freezing at night and daytime temperatures in the 30's F.
