Today at 1:10 pm, I observed a male monarch on the beach at Harrisville State Park. This was a surprise since the weather this past week as been in the 40's for highs and a couple of upper 20's for lows at night with high winds. Today the temperature was 62F., and the wind was SE-4. This ties a record of seeing a monarch on a November 3rd. The other year was 2011, and it was 48F., with the wind NE-13. Maybe I'll see another one to set a latest record this week as temperatures are forecasted to be around 60 to Friday.
