Our female Rufous hummer is back for her 4th fall/winter season with us. Although I didn't have a positive sighting of her on Oct 18, I did hear her distinctive "chatter" in my azaleas, her favorite hiding and bug catching place below the hummer feeder. On Oct 19, I had several positive sightings and got a blurry picture. It only took her a few days to get used to me looking for her. She nicely posed for the attached picture on Oct 24.
