My sighting was actually an auditory one; around 1 in the morning I heard what I thought was my cat wanting in and when I opened the door, I heard the monkey call of the Barred Owl. I had no idea what was making that sound until I found the auditory clip on your website. We have a family of great horned owls in our area but I had no idea we had barred owls! It sounded like one owl only.
