On this date a Monarch eclosed from enclosure taken in at 3rd instar from garden milkweed. Students continue to study monarch life cycle and conservation. Students collaborated in the tagging and Oe test on this lively butterfly before setting it free on the school campus. The students named this monarch Bob. Students are able to identify the sex of the monarch on their own now. Future plans include viewing the results of the Oe test under the microscope.
