Today I observed 2 monarchs from 1:05 to 1:20 pm at Harrisville State Park. The first was flying about 30 feet above the main parking lot when I arrived heading south. The second monarch was seen about 6 feet above the beach also heading south. This is the latest date I have seen monarchs in November. I saw one on November 2nd and 3rd in 2011, and one yesterday to tie the record. Weather was sunny, temperature 68F., and Wind S-9 mph.
