Third grade at The Academy of St Matthias the Apostle, Lanham, Maryland, planted tulip bulbs on November 5. It was a clear and warm fall day. The air temperature was 63 degrees and the soil temperature was 55 degrees. Before planting, we weighed our bulbs. We will have to wait until spring to see if those bulbs that weigh more emerge first.
