Bald Eagle

Date: 11/05/2015

Number: 1

As a resident of Gentry, Arkansas, I am blessed every winter with the arrival of the Bald Eagles. They arrive in November (saw the first one today, Nov. 5th), and stay through February. They are the only reason I like winter - knowing I will see dozens, perhaps hundres, before spring arrives. Two years ago I saw a hill side along Flint Creek that had well over 100 eagles on it at once, young and old. We have an "Eagle Watch Park" in town, but honestly I have never viewed an eagle from there; I see them just by driving around and being aware, in the sky, in the trees, on the ground, look around you'll find them all over this area during the winter, it's wonderful.
