Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 11/06/2015

Number: 1

On Friday Nov. 6, 2015 in Douglasville, GA my home town I saw what
appeared to be a leaf falling from a tree slowly descending downward
onto the cosmos I planted 2 months ago. I saw the leaf land onto the flower but as I approached, it was a Monarch butterfly getting
nectar from a yellow cosmo bloom. It did not stay long enough to get a picture but it flew away after getting nectar. The sun was out bright about 3:00 p.m. after cloudy skies and some light rain. A few minutes later I saw a gulf fritillary butterfly land
on the cosmos for nectar and it flew away quickly. That made my day after several days of rain and no sunlight.
