What looks like a female Anna's continues to visit our pansies and feeder. A week ago, two birds were in the yard chirping and squeaking. Since I have also seen one of the birds looking in the corners of our windows, I'm wondering if it is looking for little spiders to eat. We have had at least one bird come to the feeder each day for the past month.
The photo I attached is a screen shot from a video I took October 24th. I tried a few shots this morning, but the bird kept its distance.
We have a seen hummingbirds in Homer very late in the fall in other years--with snow and ice on the ground.
