Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 11/08/2015

Number: 1

At about 10:00am I was looking out my window and noticed a monarch fluttering about. It landed in the grass so I went outside to check it out and saw it was a male. We have had several frosts here so there isn't anything in bloom. I went inside and made some sugar water and put it on a cottonball. When I offered it to him he immediately started eating. When I went back about twenty minutes later he was gone! It looked like he had a slight issue with one wing but he was able to fly. It is very cool here, sunny, low 50's. I hope he can make it.....he seemed quite determined!
