Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 11/10/2015

Number: 1

It was raining. There were a few leaves on the ground. Something was moving. It was a monarch butterfly! The poor thing was out in the rain, so my grandmother carefully put it in a cup. Mama poked holes in a plastic bag and my grandmother put the bag over the cup. Mama and I researched about monarch butterflies because there's another type of butterfly that looks a lot like the monarch butterfly, the viceroy, and because we weren't sure if it was a boy or girl. It turned out that it was a monarch, and a girl. I named it Grace. End of report.
