Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 11/11/2015

Number: 8

Last week and this week we have had quite a lot of monarchs in our area. In the neighborhoods, the sides of roads, at shopping centers, school, parks and even along the beaches and their dunes.
Last week and weekend, we were inundated with rain from the low pressure system moving across the south. Fortunately for the butterflies, we have had some sun this week. But the temps are cooler, in the seventies during the day and fifties at night.
However, the butterflies have prevailed through it all. We are still seeing monarchs around our garden, along with the fritillaries, sulphurs, buckeyes and skippers.
