I was raking leaves today around 2pm, it was a nice day 60 degs and I happen to look up and I couldn't believe what I was seeing on Nov. 11th.....it was a MONARCH fluttering by me...the butterfly looked good..I started toward it but it gained some elevation and just continued flying on...
The butterfly was headed toward Mt. Pisgah, todays temps on the mountain were probably 50 degs and tonight 30 degs...That poor Monarch is a long way from home.....
I saw on this website that some folks up North had released some capative butterflies late in the season.....
