We are a 5th grade class. We designed the tulip garden in the form of our school initials, HGS. Our site is located in front of our school building and the tulips will be viewed from our lobby second story windows. We were careful to measure and plot out our garden so that we are not affected by the building's heat, the winter maintenance of the driveway, and foot traffic. We steered clear of any sanitary pipes. Several tulips were also planted near the foundation of the building. These may emerge first, since they are next to the heated building. TIme will tell.
