I put feeders out in late September and saw my first hummingbird on my birthday weekend. (Oct.4) This was the best present I ever got. I'm new in the area and visiting a plant nursery the Pryor fall I saw a hummingbird and was so excited. They look to be females or Young males because they don't have the red ruby throat. I even saw them drinking nectar from red porterweed plant I bought for them. I had a second one show up and one looks to be a little larger ...and when one is feeding and other tries to feed they fight.
