Female Monarch fluttering around milkweed blooming on patio,then flew up around top of pine trees. Tropical milkweed has sparse leaves where caterpillars had stripped it in late September. Had put on new leaves and blooms at top... also have pink swamp milkweed that has put on a few leaves at top. Did not cut back milkweed because other butterfly species have been feeding on the blooms. Expecting temp to drop to 30's in next couple of days.
