Last week I noticed an adult monarch butterfly in an empty lot that only has approximately 15 young african milkweed plants. Taking a closer look I discovered approximately 15 (from what I can see) in the larval stage, 3 adult butterflies, and 2 chrysalis' (one that has already emerged). There was a lot of eggs of an unknown fly species on the plants as well.
