Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 12/04/2015

Number: 1

Adult Female Rufous Hummingbird
Today Nutmeg made her first appearance, that I noticed, at 7:04am.
At 9:54am she took a very, very long drink. At 3:00pm she had a long stay at the feeder. The latest time of the day that I noticed her was at 3:44pm. It was a beautiful, sunny day. The Sharp-shinned Hawk keeps my visiting birds at bay in the early mornings. Nutmeg doesn't visit much during those times either. I think that is why she takes such long drinks when able. The flock of Blue Jays didn't arrive until 7:24 this morning. The other birds arrived later.
