Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 12/06/2015

Number: 1

AF RUHU - Nutmeg arrived at 6:49am. Temp was 24°F with no wind. She drank again at 7:04 and 7:08. I heard a Blue Jay call at 7:12; a flock of them arrived at 7:19. That was the signal it was safe from the Sharp-shin Hawks. Nutmeg and the other birds followed at 7:21. By 7:24, all birds were gone. At 7:34, two Sharpies flew in so close together, they were almost side-by-side, and landed in a neighboring Maple Tree. The cat and mouse game with the Sharp-shin goes on everyday. Nutmeg's last visit was at 4:12pm.

Thank you, to all who are following my reports on Nutmeg. She has been visiting since October 21, 2015 and was banded on November 20, 2015.
