I was amazed to see this male monarch in our yard this afternoon! He lit upon a number of blooming plants to feed briefly, then circled around among neighboring yards and came back several times to ours. After observing him for about a half hour, I saw him head out in the same southwesterly direction that monarchs have traveled previously this season.
