I reported seeing a rufous humming bird on 12/4 at a friend's feeder. (Photo included)

I talked with my friend and learned that the hummer was seen on 12/5 and on 12/6, but has not been seen since as of today 12/11.

Hopefully the hummer flew further south, but it may have been killed.

Weather in Western New York has been unseasonably mild - like spring.
