08/12/2015 - 3 Males. Beautiful Patch of Common Milkweed farm-side, partially mowed down by tractor. 3 Males being territorial about the milkweed patch, flying around and fighting in the air when paths cross and chasing each other off. Landing on the milkweed afterwards waiting for females I suppose. I frequently re-visited this patch almost every week (sometimes none, sometime a monarch(s)). I later found larvae as well.
