Monarch bonanza. in 20 years of visiting Anguilla, I have never seen so many monarchs...every local milkweed (calotropis procera)
have many caterpillars in all instars...holes from caterpillars in every plant! usually I don't see the butterflies at all til march, and I always inspect try to inspect plants for eggs, and larvae. last season I found my first eggs in February..and only a few. guessing it's a resident population since they are breeding.
