Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 12/31/2015

Number: 1

Lady Rufous Nutmeg
At 8:35 this morning, she drank from an amaryllis, I've been putting out since Christmas Eve, when the first flower was fully bloomed. All four are in full bloom now, and on the decline. Morning temperature was 44°F. Yesterday was the first I had noticed Nutmeg paying any attention the the amaryllis, but I can't be sure if she drank from it. She has been visiting since October 21. She was identified and banded on November 20. I am located in Central Pennsylvania. There are pictures of her on some of my previous JN sightings. Looks like she'll be here to bring 2016 in with us. Happy New Year, Everyone!
