Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 01/02/2016

Number: 1

at least thirty robins at the bird baths , bathing and drinking. Resting in Pine trees. Put out extra saucers of water. Not noisy-like when a wave descends--full of chirps.I saw them when I went to check out a woodpecker and there they were!! I suspect we have had a small flock over winter here in the protective wetlands and forested areas near us.We have observed what we think are robins but they are flying too high or the lighting has not been good-even with binocs. We can pretty much rule out flocks of fish crows and grackles but only twice could we pick out the red breasts.Stayed about an hour. Temp 72. No wind Overcast sky.
