Five monarch butterflies on backyard milkweed plants (A. curassavica, A. subulata). The females laid eggs on the milkweed. Most of the eclosed butterflies showed signs of O.E. and were destroyed.(Queen butterflies eclosing at the same time showed a lower incidence of O.E.)
