I have been seeing a pair flying/drifting overhead around this area for months. I believe they are nesting nearby.
One's feathers have not turned all the way white yet. They flew low to the ground across the back of our property last month, and i got a good look at them. Awesome.
The interesting thing is that I do not live near a lake. The closest one is about 5 mi.
