I planted about a dozen butterfly weed and 4 butterfly plants, along with other flowering plants. Between October 2015 and January 2016 I have had as many as 4 Monarchs in the yard. As a result of observed mating, I have eggs and nymphs on my plants. I have taken over 5 dozen stage 2 to stage 5 nymphs to Lukas Nursery so the Monarchs could complete their stage uninterrupted. My most recent sighting was yesterday, Friday, January 9, 2016. There was one Monarch in the yard.
