While walking in Cape Coral FL I saw 3 adult monarchs flitting around along and near the river. There were lots of flowering bushes and plants available in the area. None of the monarchs were nectaring when observed. I saw at least one monarch adult several other days between 01/01/16 and 01/09/16 but I did not note the date at the time of the sightings other than on the eighth. In trips in prior years I had not seen monarchs this time of year.
