I have never witnessed a bald eagle in my state before. But coming down my road to my house today, I saw the most magnificent thing ever! I was driving in my car down McIntosh Rd and saw an eagle come down from the overhanging trees and across the front of my car. I slammed on the breaks much to the chagrin of those behind me, and observed this HUGE bald eagle with its white head and tail feathers, come across my hood. It's wing spread was enormous and it's body almost seemed too big. It swooped past my car and to the other side of the small two lane road before people behind me began honking. I slowly moved and looked backwards to see it it with something I couldn't recognize in its sharp talons before it flew upward and away. I am truly amazed!!! I've known they might be here but never saw one in person. Just WOW! It was stunning. I apologize for any mistakes in my typing but just wow.
