Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 01/27/2016

Number: 6

Upon entering Kingsway College School at 4600 Dundas St. w. early in the morning, I heard the familiar churp of robins. After scanning,I noted many birds flitting about in the tall trees. Several robins, identified by their orange breasts then flew to a small bare tree closer to me and the main front door. There seemed to be a secondary flocking of black-coloured birds also. There were at least 6 perched robins that I could positively identify and can assume there were many more as the perched robins joined a larger group.
At the end of the school day, while I was out doing parking lot duty, there were more robins noted again in a group and more black-coloured birds in another group, sometimes combining in the lower smaller trees. The birds seemed relatively "tame" as they let adults and children get fairly close to them before they flew off, then returned. The robins again were distinguishable by their orange breasts.
