Number: 500
This afternoon, I came home from school (student) to find dozens of American robins in our backyard and in our neighbor's lawns/trees, mostly just milling about or pecking at the ground. After going outside, I looked up to find hundreds of birds flying in flocks overhead, with easily 50-100 in one flock. I put down 500 as the number seen, but it could easily be way above that.
Lacking a good camera, every picture I took just looked like it had dust on the lens (many groups were very high in the sky) or was too blurry to make anything out, so I decided not to include any.
Hope this helps!
