first wave of 10 robins was observed on 28 January 2016. a second wave of 10 to 14 robins were observed in the same area on 1 February 2016. Both waves were very vocal, flying from tree to tree. another first sign of spring were green weeds growing on January 28. This has been a colder than normal winter in this area due to El Nino. A winter storm warning was in effect over the reporting time period.
