I saw a big round robin standing (safely!) off the road at the edge of a local forest preserve. We've had birds at our feeders (sparrows, flickers, juncos) all season long so at first it didn't register with me. Then I realized what I was seeing! It's been very mild here in the midwest because of El Nino, so I hope more robins will show up soon.
