I live on long island and i know that some robins it seems do not migrate because for atleast the last 5 years i have been seeing them all winter. But this year for the past 2 weeks there have been flocks of hundreds in the tree at sunset. Looking for a place to sleep at night. We have alot of pine trees and a pond that they use for water and sleep. I am amazed every night they gather to find a sleeping spot. Seems unusual for this part of the country. Poor things are getting hammered with snow and cold now too.
