Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 01/25/2016

Number: 50

We're are at nearly 7000 feet elevation. We have a lot heavy with juniper and we've had a wet summer, fall, and winter so the juniper berries are plentiful. We have a heated water source for the wildlife. The robins moved in mid morning and hung around most of the day, snacking berries and drinking our water. Then they were gone. There were dozens and they all looked good. We've had 3 leucistics in recent years, one white-headed robin living here all last winter until that migration came through; there have been a few white-marked since; but the white-headed one we've only seen once this winter. The photos didn't capture the robins very well; I do have excellent photos of the white-headed one.
