As I was preparing salads and occasionally gazing at the rain in the backyard, I saw a bird bop, bop, bopping along! Hmmm, I had just had a wave come through here (Florida) on their way back north (hopefully to Scarborough Maine)but this was one lonely Robin bopping along getting various insects in the lawn during the rain storm. She stayed around long enough to have dinner with us, all the time, bopping along, and I saw no other Robin at all! At the end of dinner, as it was getting dusk, I could not find her -- gone. I hope she caught up with her wave or had others on a different street that I simply did not know were there. It would be a shame for her to travel alone.
