First time I noticed a robin this year in my own yard was yesterday. We have woods and various trees here. My husband had done some digging with machinery on the grounds and I noticed a robin hanging around dug up area. Maybe looking for worms. We have lots of puddles for them to drink from with temps warmer but will get below freezing tonight. Seems too early.
