Today, at 5:45pm, a flock of robins landed on an 8 acre mowed meadow just west of our farm house. There were at least 100 of them. While I watched, a scattered flock of robins flew over the meadow east of our house. It took over 4 minutes for the flock to pass over. As the end of the flock passed, the robins that had landed joined the airborne flock. They were all moving south. There have been no robins here in recent weeks.
