Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 02/12/2016

Number: 12

First thing in morning saw 2 Monarchs float into the yard. So with that, I had to investigate the golf course off the back of the house to see if there might be an overwintering site. So many, so early. There are 3 areas of old growth Eucalyptus and a few Fir that I know of. Never found and area of mass Monarchs, but guessing to the low side of how many were flying around chasing each other on the sunny side of the trees. We spent 2 hours with our new friends. Awesome DAY in FEBRUARY !!! I know they smell my milkweed. I only covered 4 holes of the golf course as of yet.
