Couldn't believe my eyes! This chubby red-breasted robin flew into our ornamental cherry tree and stayed for a few minutes. He might have found a few left-over "cherries" although the migrating robins picked it pretty clean in late fall. He did not try to eat at the feeder, nor did he use the heated bird bath. The last two days and nights have been two of the coldest, if not the coldest, of this winter. Bet he wished he had gone/stayed south for the winter!
