There were several robins in and around a tree in a newer part of town. I think the tree is a flowering crabapple there were several berries left on the tree. Also eating their berries were several Cedar Waxwings! Early for them as well.
My feeling is the robins wintered over...not sure about wax wings.
I also saw a group of robins in the city (Toronto ) a couple of weeks ago while driving by somewhere.
