Record breaking cold day for these parts. Single digits for the high and -9F for the overnight low. I disturbed a mixed flock of birds as I drove by the playground at the head of our local lake. The flock consisted of seagulls and about a dozen robins. I don't know what they are feeding on but there are trash barrels around the park area as well as whatever seeds and fruits are left in the surrounding plantings.
