Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 02/16/2016

Number: 50

Robins flocking to small bits of open ground as 8" of snow melted. Most of the exposed ground was either along the roadside (road had been plowed beyond roadbed), or under a copse of trees/bushes where snowpack was shallower and so melted off faster. Weather sunny with temps around 50F and very light breezes. I could also hear robins in the trees nearby that I could not see which are not included in the count.

I have been seeing a few robins all winter--they have been staying in the approximately 400 acre woods across the road.
