I can hear the black headed grosbeak teasing me from the treetops in the wooded area where I live in Santa Rosa, Ca. I heard them last year for the first time. It took about a month before they showed up at my bird feeder. Drove me nuts till I finally saw that gorgeous bird. Stayed with us thru the summer. Will keep you posted.
